resized American Idol Siabhan1 Siobhan Magnus: American Idol Season 9s Adam Lambert?Simon Cowell calls Siobhan Magnus “strange.” I guess being strange really works.

In her latest performance (Rolling Stones week), it was said that she has beaten Crystal Bowersox on the first night of American Idol at-the-big-stage. She sang Paint it Black and once again wowed the judges and the audience. She went a tad bit dramatic and dark in this arrangement and it suited her well.

I don’t know if she’s going to scream now on every performance after she did great in an Aretha Franklin. She has been gaining popularity and is now in close competition with Crystal, who has consistently been the judges’ favorite.

Kara Dioguardi says Siobhan’s performance gave her flashbacks of Adam Lambert and Simon agreed that it’s the stand-out performance of the night. Randy Jackson thought it was hot and Ellen Degeneres said it best: “Like Snooki’s poof, you just stand out!”

My take on this:

Sometimes she looks like Tori Amos and she sounded like Evanescence’s Amy Lee tonight. I am definitely going to cross my fingers for her and Crystal Bowersox, now that Lilly Scott did not make it to the American Idol Top 12. I wish there was a way to vote online. Darn. Oh and yeah, Casey James is hot.

Lilly Scott of American Idol Season 9

Lilly Scott's elimination stunned many people around the world

Many people expected Lilly Scott to be part of the American Idol Top 12 –and tonight it was proven wrong. Lilly Scott, has been consistently one of the front-runners of Season 9 with her cool indie style, and not to mention her ability to play many instruments.

It was a shocker to many, and people who follow American Idol will agree to this after what happened tonight: You can sing dreadfully and still be part of Top 12.

“It’s surprising. A lot of incredible talent is going home tonight…I don’t know what America wants to hear. I just know that there’s an audience out there for me.” Lilly Scott said when interviewed by Ryan Seacrest after the results.

Alex Lambert got booted off too and he’s one of the distinctive male performers of this season. Katelyn Eperly, has been receiving criticisms by the judges but has also been one of the better performers.

“This has been an awesome experience. I came here to prove that I’m not just a dancer. I can also sing. I think that I’ve done that.” Todrick Hall said when he got eliminated, and he proved it by performing for the last time, earning him a standing ovation from Randy, Ellen, and Kara.

The American Idol Top 12 includes Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Crystal Bowersox, Didi Benami, Lacey Brown, Lee Dewyze, Michael “Big Mike” Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Aaron Kelly, Paige Miles, Katie Stevens, and Tim Urban.

My take on this: I followed the show since Day 1 and yes, they are good singers but… they voted off the wrong contestant tonught.

And I totally agree with Lilly Scott here: I don’t know what America wants to hear either.

I was counting on: Lily, Crystal, and Siobhan for the girls… Mike is surely gonna be in.

I have been away for a year and I feel that this site should have some more activity. The past year had been quite challenging for me. Well, things in the graphics and web design are always changing and evolving so, yeah, I cannot say that nothing’s happening. There are A LOT!

I hope I can write more for myself. There are so many things I learned that I should share.

Carpe diem!

After months of hiatus, I finally came to terms that WP would still be the best tool for me to maintain my website. This website will be bustling with activities since I shall be posting more about:

  • making websites using Joomla and WordPress
  • reviews on useful plugins and tools for WP, Joomla, Photoshop
  • tutorials on digital paintings
  • and many more (this somehow sums it up eh?)

Feel free to visit everyday for the latest news on Graphics Design, Web Design and Development, Linux, Digital Photography–whatever I can think of to post about.

Thanks for visiting!
